The wiki is finally getting along well, we could see soon that maybe we will have the ability to edit and add new pages. Mr_DoomBringer has been hard at work getting the wiki ready for users to be able to edit without having problems with spam and other nonsense. Recently he added a whole new section for users that are new to roblox. Check it out here!

Let’s hope the wiki will be editable very soon so that we may make this wiki the best it can possibly be.

There was a recent release this week of a cool new feature, it’s called; particle effects. There will be more to come, but for now we have smoke.

Some people have been asking how to add it, I am here to clear that up. You need to have the basic knowledge of the roblox studio, if not click here

Now once you open roblox studio, click on a brick in the explore panel. Then you will go to insert, and click object. Move the scroll bar to the end and you will see a symbol that is black and it says smoke next to it.

Wants you add it, you can change different parts about it in the properties panel.

Recently Telamon posted on his Twitter to verify you Roblox account. he didn’t say why, but we can guess the gift in the catalog is for it.

The best idea is to verify your account by going to “My Roblox” and clicking “Account” there will be an area where you can enter your email and click verify. It’s that easy, you just need to have an email adress or your parents email. Hope this helps

Also, you need to do it soon, before they give the gift out.

Hello readers. Sorry I haven’t posted anything relativly new lately. School, work, ect ect. Well, actually….just school.

So here is a quick roundup

1. Vibhu is doing a lot of awesome projects. Faith in Roblox +10%!

2. Hats. A LOT OF HATS.

3. Outrageous BC. Truely outrageous.

4. OBC webcasts. Wasn’t this suggested like 2 whole years ago? I remember someone saying this a looooong time ago. Did I suggest it? I digress.

5. More Fourm Mods. The more the merrier, and the safer.

6. A lot of minor things, like a new login page and constantly updating groups.

And there is one more thing I was going to talk about: Fleshjherta. Roblox owes more to him than they think. I mean, thats how I found Roblox, and I am sure thats how many others did too before videos, and the site, went totally mainstream. He is an old player, banned now, but forever part of the Roblox history books. Hey, he might even still be playing and acting like a normal user. It would be cool. ;D

As you may already know, the Roblox wiki was locked. Therefore, users can no longer post new advice for scripting, and people will find out the hard way that most of the techniques no longer work due to Roblox updates. So what do you do then?

You could always go to the ROBLOX forums, but that seems to be a paradise of noobs, trolls, and meaningful threads dying 4 seconds after being posted. No to mention the mods can be slow to respond to reports (Briguy, on the contrary, does a good job, if you ask me).

Nothing left, right? Wrong. A friend of mine is currently working on a forum where you can share your building and scripting tips to all site visitors. There is only one admin (the creator, Gregg) and one moderator (that would be me :3) so far, but as the community grows (We only have two other users right now; the forum was just created!), we’ll get more moderators. Right now, we don’t really need that many (obviously). If you do choose to visit, don’t try pulling anything off, because I’ll be keeping an eye on you.

So I was moderating today. Big shocker there. But people keep on doing the same thing every day.

They reply to and bump spam.

I mean COMON! If its spam, just report it and go away. Every reply is just as bad as a whole new topic about it. If you see it, leave it be. It annoys me not only when people do it, but when I have to scrub EVERY reply and get action taken out on the others who replied, who could be the nicest person you may ever know.

I mean, seriously, just……stop.

The API are coming! –Paul Bloxere

Ah yes. API. A new milestone in Roblox. Any person who knows how to program Roblox LUA can now add a HUD to any players screen. This opens a whole world of possibilities, such as inventories, turn-based RPG’s, menus, and so much more. But how will the normal players, the ones who don’t know LUA, use these new features?

It is quite simple: Public Domain. Experiment, work, and create new API menus, and release it for all to use. If you keep it to yourself, then only you will ever use it, and if it can help, it never will. You should spend some time to help others with this new API, and release new scripts for others to use so that they can also have API’s in their game.

Create for the common good. And so it may move Roblox up to the next gen
