Chapter 6

Chapter 6: Realization

“I’m assuming, since you are a Controller, that you know what job you have” he said to me, as we walked around the side of the house. He seemed to have a scared look on his face. Something that he was going to show me was going to scare him. Or me.

“Yes. I know. That also means I have a wild guess as to what it does” I said. He didn’t seem surprised or anything. I guess both of us were surprised at how quickly I caught on.

“Alright, it’s time I show y…”

Something flew out of the sky and hit the ground outside my house. The object was big enough to knock both of us to our feet. We fell, and instantly looked at the crash site. Too much dust had been kicked up, and we couldn’t see a thing. But after we stared, we noticed something. Something dark. The dust began to settle as we caught a pair of red eyes.

The thing quickly ran from the crash site towards us. We didn’t have much time to react, but we both jumped out of the way in different directions. The thing tried to stop, but slid far away from us.

“Press the button!” Acoreus screamed. I looked at him, confused for a moment, before I caught on. The thing began to run towards me. I pressed the button.

I watched as little blue beads appeared from nothingness and began to form an object in my hands. I grabbed part of it like a bat, and the rest began to form. It grew in both directions. Soon one end stopped, as the other grew. But as soon as I took another look at it, it flashed, and extra beads of energy dissapeared. It was my hammer.

I turned to see the thing almost 5 feet away. I knew I couldn’t hit it this way. I spun around the thing, dodging his attack, while at the same time swinging my hammer like a golf club. I made contact, and the thing went flying into the sky.

We both ran towards it. When we got near, it disappeared in the same way my hammer came to be, only with black beads of energy. We were both freaked out. I turned to him.

“What in the world was that?!” I said.

“Honestly, I have no clue! I rarely see you outside the Barrier.”

“Whats the Barrier?” He looked at me like it was the stupidest question I had so far. But he soon remembered, and was calm again.

“The Barrier is a barrier that protects the area we gather to discuss and debate. This is why it is one of the safest places to be.”

I knew exactly what he was talking about. “I’m curious to see it.” He smiled, and touched his watch. He turned into a blob of energy. He floated there for a second, then whizzed off to what I thought was south.

I looked at my watch, and found the place we were going. Robloxia’s discussion area. Aka, the Forums.

Meanwhile, at RHQ

Telamon: Too bad Vibhu left.
Builderman: Yeah…Wait a second…
Telamon: What?
Builderman: The insane amount of traffic to the Midwest servers have stopped. Whatever, or whoever, was causing all of it must have stopped.
Telamon: Good, connect them back up.
Builderman: Already done.
Telamon: Good.
